The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) sought Chief Justice of India Surya Kant’s urgent intervention over the reported detention of advocates during protests near the Supreme Court. The CJI spoke to authorities after being informed by the SCBA, SCAORA and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, and the lawyers are now being released.
