Maharashtra to soon introduce digital system for milk tracking to curb adulteration: FDA chief

Khan Market Traders Association president Sanjiv Mehra estimated that a day’s closure could cost a shop Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh. Traders also cited rent, salaries, perishable goods and fears of property damage as reasons for staying closed, ANI reported.

Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita allows designated magistrates to issue urgent preventive orders. These orders aim to avert potential threats to public safety and law and order. Authorities are using this provision in response to a proposed CJP protest in New Delhi on October 10. Gautam Buddha Nagar has also enforced Section 163 restrictions through October 20 to maintain law and order.
