Over the years, Dr. Novakovic has demonstrated his commitment to both clinical and academic psychiatry. He is affiliated with The Mount Sinai Hospital, Staten Island University Hospital at Northwell Health, and James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Engaged in scholarly writing and academic research, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Among his professional affiliations include the American Psychiatric Association, the New York Academy of Sciences, the American College of Physicians, the New York Chapter & the Harry Stack Sullivan Society.
