Live on Kickstarter, PeniRev Free-Fall Boxer Briefs are designed to reduce skin-on-skin contact, improve airflow, and deliver all-day comfort.
Kanagawa, Japan, September 18, 2026 -- Free-Fall Boxer Briefs, a revolutionary new men's underwear design from functional goods brand PeniRev, are designed to address a common problem with traditional men's underwear: finding a balance between the tight fit of boxer briefs and the loose fit of traditional trunks. The company is currently live on global platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.

Developed through repeated prototyping and real-world testing, Free-Fall Boxer Briefs feature a high-rise and low-rise design intended to provide a more relaxed fit while giving the wearer greater freedom and comfort throughout the day. The low-rise design was developed specifically for men with larger waistlines who may find conventional underwear uncomfortable or restrictive and gives same comfortableness with high-rise design.
The idea behind Free-Fall began with a simple problem experienced by PeniRev founder Kamiya. After previously developing anti-phimosis boxer pants, Kamiya found himself looking for a different type of underwear once that product had served its purpose.
“I was looking for underwear that were more comfortable for me,” says Kamiya, founder of PeniRev, on the inspiration behind the project. “Traditional boxer briefs were too tight because I was used to wearing trunks, but trunks were sometimes too loose. I could not find the fit I wanted, so I decided to create it myself.”
Unlike conventional boxer briefs that can place the body in a more restrictive fit, Free-Fall is designed around a different approach to men's comfort and movement.
Key Features of Free-Fall Boxer Briefs:
The development of Free Fall Boxer Briefs builds on PeniRev's experience creating functional men's underwear designed around specific physical needs and designed around how men actually live and move.
“There are some boxer designs that provide more room, and I tested and wore many existing types of underwear, but I could not find the best fit for me,” adds Kamiya. “So I made many samples and asked different people to try them. Their feedback helped me to improve the product again and again.”
