Relevance is committed to bringing concerned families in New Jersey both better care and better coverage for their adolescent children in the wake of recent figures on mental health issues in US teens. As the HHS Office of Population Affairs revealed, today, 49.5% of adolescents have suffered from some form of mental health disorder. So too, do the latest figures from the National Institute on Drug Abuse show that drug use is high in adolescents, with 32.6% of 12th graders having reported the use of illicit drugs in the last year.
With the fentanyl crisis also throwing a spotlight on the dangers of synthetic drugs and the ways in which social media is contributing to drug use, Relevance has seen an increase in serious drug abuse and overdose cases amongst teenagers.
As such, they are particularly pleased to be announcing their partnership with Magnacare, an important coverage addition that aligns with their mission to create an inclusive space for all individuals who need rehabilitative support. The welcoming clinic is hopeful that this partnership will allow them to extend their comprehensive care to all families who are covered by Magnacare, and who have a child in need.
