Leveraging her extensive experience in maternal and neonatal mortality reviews, Dr. Kuppuswami created a mobile application called WONDER which stands for Women's Obstetrical, Neonatal, Death Evaluation & Reduction. "We must do more to help practitioners provide more timely treatment in order to prevent serious complications or death. So many maternal deaths are avoidable. My mission is to stop the unnecessary loss of so many precious mothers' lives by helping clinicians and patients have access to the tools and information they need to keep both mother and baby safe" expressed Dr. Kuppuswami.
Back in the early days of her academic career, she graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Stanley Medical College in India in 1971.
