Hollywood, United States - November 30, 2018 /PressCable/ —
Living Prevention TV, a first in TV history, has been announced to begin airing in 2019. Bringing the spotlight to prevention truth on mainstream TV, LPTV will showcase “living prevention is better than cure”. Bringing attention to living prevention as a lifestyle and culture, a global movement is in the making.
A fresh take for TV programming, LPTV focus is prevention truths ensuring viewers know what prevention really is. Instead of recycling pharmaceutical propaganda, the shows motto “Love it – Live it” will bring integrity back to the conversation around authentic prevention. LPTV will appear on major markets across the U.S. and is supported by viewer donations. Kari E Gray is CEO and founder of AlternaCare is presents LPTV. As show host, Kari is herself a 30-year terminal cancer survivor. Since cancer, Gray turned her second chance into an opportunity to ‘pay it forward’.
Calling herself a “problem solver” Gray is far more. As a health researcher, humanitarian and luminary-thought leader, Gray interviews experts in sharing all things prevention. The show’s mission is Educate – Enlighten – Empower viewers. LPTV is committed to the cause by educating viewers with truth. Enlightening viewers with prevention education Empowers each with living skills to fuel the global movement for #PreventionNotPrescription.
Launching on CBS affiliate Channel 33 Miami FL, cable, Roku, LivingPrevention.tv and 13 other major markets is in the works, says Gray. “The show will expose truths like ‘“health is wealth – and wealth is power”‘. Today, the wealth of a nation is in the coffers of the pharmaceutical empire. Pharma profits are second to banking as the wealthiest industry worldwide.”
Let that soaks in and then see the pharmaceutical business agenda – profit from prescription not prevention. Gray relates, “I see media as “Prescription Programming”. Brainwashing people with slick advertising works. A “pill for all ills” is sold to a nation and pharma is now the largest advertiser in media. The bitter results of ‘Prescription Media’ is 70% in the U.S. are prescription dependent. Chronic disease at an all time high. Pharma profits match sales increase and health insurance costs are breaking people. Bottom line, this is not sustainable. The great news is we can make educated choices; the outcome is determined by how we spend our money.”
While prescriptions do save lives and are a modern miracle in many cases, the facts are 80% of prescriptions filled could be eliminated with lifestyle change. That makes prevention literacy critical. Thus the mission of LPTV.
Living Prevention is urgent because as the American Heart Association study reveals, “88% of Americans are health illiterate”.
LPTV has a lot of work ahead. While LPTV isn’t a fit for everyone, for people who don’t want to be a statistics, LPTV may be the ‘prescription they’ve looking for’. With an estimate 158 in the U.S. spending hard earned dollars on complementary alternative medicine, LPTV is their show. Proactive in making healthy decisions in the 21st century, is Living Prevention TV for the new millennium.
