During her time there, Dr. Effrein served as chief resident and worked with over fifty physicians, alternating lower extremity trauma calls with orthopedic surgery every other week at a level two trauma center, as well as covering six different hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
Other rotations during her residency training included: orthopedic trauma surgery, infectious disease, internal medicine, vascular surgery, general surgery, and emergency medicine.
