Hurricane Hermine Produces Power Outages for Hundreds of Thousands; Patriot Power Generator Stands Ready to Keep Power Going
Sep 5, 2016
Hurricane Hermine blasted Florida on Friday, making landfall at the panhandle and causing power outages for more than 170,000 people. Patriot Power Generator officials recommend keeping a fully-charged, portable generator ready to supply needed power during and following storms.
Nashville, TN, United States - September 5, 2016 /MarketersMedia/ —
More than 170,000 people lost power in their homes Friday when Hurricane Hermine struck the Florida panhandle, according to Fox News and other media outlets. A Category 1 hurricane when it made landfall, Hermine was downgraded to a tropical storm as it headed farther inland.
Patriot Power Generator officials strongly suggest that homeowners prepare for extreme weather events that regularly knock out power with a fully-charged, portable, solar-powered generator.
“Extreme weather isn’t going to go away,” said Allen Baler, Partner at 4Patriots LLC, which provides products that help people become more independent and self-reliant, including the Patriot Power Generator. “Hurricanes, tornadoes, high winds, rainstorms, snowstorms, blizzards, you name it… there’s always something that can knock out power.
“People who prepare for these types of inevitable events with a generator are the ones who can keep the lights on and the air conditioning or heat running while their neighbors remain in the dark.”
People can protect themselves from power outages – regardless of how long they last – by owning the Patriot Power Generator 1500.
The Patriot Power Generator 1500 is a portable solar generator designed to provide electricity for important devices and equipment during a power outage or disaster situation. It can produce up to 3,000 peak watts of power and comes with an integrated 1,500-watt inverter / 600Wh lithium-iron battery; a 100-watt, commercial grade folding solar panel; and a 25-foot long extension cord.
“Even if you’re fortunate enough to live in an area of the country where extreme weather is very rare, other things can knock out power to homes and businesses,” Baler said. “Accidents, solar flares, cyber attacks and physical attacks against the grid are among the others. But a portable, solar generator will give homeowners the peace of mind they need.”
The Patriot Power Generator 1500 weighs only 38 pounds, so it’s small enough to take anywhere and store discreetly, and one can daisy-chain additional solar panels for even more power and faster charging. This generator operates quietly and produces no emissions.
It’s perfect for people looking for ways to protect themselves and their families from the results of power outages. The durable, state-of-the-art, lithium-iron-phosphate battery Patriot Power Generator 1500 is rated for 2,000-plus lifecycles and holds a full battery charge for up to six months. It can be charged by the solar panel, by plugging into a normal 120V AC wall outlet or by a wind turbine.

In 2021, a North Carolina farmer struggling to expand his sheep business found 33 acres beneath solar panels; then landed a second solar grazing contract
Alex Greer strategically utilized a program that links farmers with solar developers to enhance his sheep business. By securing grazing contracts across 38 acres in Asheboro and Rowan counties, he faced hurdles like controlling vegetation and installing predator-proof fencing. Interestingly, studies indicate that sheep grazing can bolster soil health and remain financially viable compared to mechanical mowing over time. Greer's journey exemplifies the promising intersection of solar farming and agriculture.
