NEWPORT NEWS, Va., October 17, 2026 -- Diamond Towing Prepares for Its Second Year of Halloween Festivities
Diamond Towing and the Virginia Office of Emergency Services are preparing to participate in a 2026 Halloween trunk-or-treat celebration in collaboration with the Newport News Police Department. Returning for a second year, the event is expected to bring local families, businesses, and public safety representatives together for an evening of seasonal activities, candy, giveaways, and community engagement.
The upcoming celebration aims to provide a welcoming environment where children and adults can enjoy Halloween while connecting with local organizations. Organizers are preparing festive displays and activities intended to build on the previous year's gathering.
Community Activities and Halloween Attractions
The celebration will feature traditional trunk-or-treat activities, giving children an opportunity to collect candy while enjoying decorated vehicles and Halloween displays. The event also plans to include special giveaways and additional entertainment for participating families.
For Diamond Towing, returning to the celebration provides an opportunity to engage with the Newport News community beyond its towing and roadside assistance services. The collaboration brings together local organizations with roles in transportation, emergency services, and public safety.
Further information about the event's schedule and activities will be released once arrangements are finalized.
Planned Vehicle Donation Adds a New Attraction
A planned vehicle donation from philanthropist Romeo Toro is expected to be a highlight of the 2026 celebration. The vehicle is intended to be awarded through a raffle during the event, adding another attraction to the Halloween gathering.
Raffle details, including eligibility requirements and entry procedures, have not yet been finalized. Organizers are expected to share participation information through official announcements once the arrangements are confirmed.
Toro's planned contribution adds a charitable element to the celebration, demonstrating how individual supporters can help organizers create additional opportunities for community participation.
Memories From the 2025 Celebration
Images from the 2025 event captured distinctive Halloween displays, including a helicopter transported on a Diamond Towing flatbed with a skeleton positioned in the cockpit. The display combined the company's towing equipment with seasonal decorations, creating a memorable attraction for attendees.
Photographs also documented families participating in the festivities and enjoying the gathering together. These moments reflected the event's emphasis on creating an engaging environment for children, parents, and other community members.
As preparations continue for 2026, the previous celebration provides a foundation for the organizers' return. The upcoming gathering is intended to build on that experience with more opportunities for families to enjoy Halloween activities and connect with participating organizations.
Strengthening Community Connections Through Collaboration
The partnership involving Diamond Towing, the Virginia Office of Emergency Services, and the Newport News Police Department brings different community organizations together for a shared seasonal event. Such gatherings allow residents to interact with local representatives in a relaxed setting outside their usual professional encounters.
For families, the celebration offers an opportunity to enjoy costumes, candy, and themed displays. For participating organizations, it provides a way to contribute to local activities and strengthen relationships with residents.
The planned vehicle raffle and special giveaways are expected to complement the traditional Halloween festivities while supporting the event's community-focused purpose.
Event Schedule and Raffle Information Pending
Diamond Towing and its partners are continuing preparations for the 2026 celebration. The event date, time, location, and full activity schedule have not yet been publicly confirmed.
Additional information about the planned vehicle raffle, including entry procedures and eligibility requirements, will be announced when available. Residents interested in attending can follow updates from the participating organizations as Halloween approaches.
With candy, festive displays, giveaways, and a planned vehicle raffle, the celebration is expected to provide another opportunity for families and community partners to gather in Newport News.
