Los Angeles, California Oct 7, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - This is Jersey, founder of the Better Start Movement, aka the homeless guy. I want viewers to read and take in this knowledge and compare it to other scholarship and program application tips and advice and you will see that my tips are more aligned with what every student and parent wants and needs to be able to craft a genuine application response that helps you achieve outcomes and dominate the competition. Also, this is a call to action for fellow program and Scholarship application evaluators: let this be the new standard
The Scholarship question that will be answered in this interview in this 3-part series
Question? What makes you worthy of this opportunity versus your peers. So, for those living in a state like California LOS Angeles specifically, your answers would be like this. What gives me an advantage is that, first, I wanted to complete college courses in high school. What I did was, for the major I was interested in, before registering for my classes each year, especially before starting 9th grade, I went on my top 5 university dream list at the time and printed out the course degree requirements for each school. I then compared it to the dual enrollment equivalent and picked a specific approved partner dual enrollment university that was allowed based on what was offered and if it transferred and covered my course requirements for my degree. I then made sure to do History 1/English 1 requirements my freshman year of high school because going from 8th grade to high school and doing college-level work is huge. I succeeded by getting passing grades and then applying and getting accepted into high school summer internships that give large stipends and give valuable experience that look better in applications versus flipping burgers for McDonald's. These programs also served another key purpose: I can use them to get direct insight and experience a day in the life of a career related to my degree. If it was not a good fit and I wanted to change my major, I had plenty of time to pivot and the English/History 1 I did freshman year still counts toward my new major in college. Although the state limit for free dual enrollment is 30 credits I did enough to cover the basic general Ed's and a few lower level courses for my major on paper it looks like I'm someone who just skipped grades and a genius no just hard work research discipline and making use of my one chance to be able to create a path to be able to have the opportunity to qualify to earn enough scholarship funds to afford college, nice housing, and not sell my soul and kidneys to Sallie Mae.

This answer was purely based on leveraging our dual enrollment advice given in the previous video linked on our Discord. I will upload a video where the answer slightly varies and is better based on the assumption that the applicant did TRIO ETS and Upward Bound and The 2 Sophia courses mentioned on our Discord https://discord.gg/5ejV3unfN.

The long-held reluctance of Indians to accept locally made "foreign" items as equally good alternatives until well into the 21st century probably stems from the notorious policy of "import substitution", a legacy of the era of socialist scarcity and Five-Year Plans. It was a typical sarkari diktat, supposedly to achieve economic self-reliance and protect domestic industry. But negligible focus on technology and quality benchmarking led to chronic sub-par products.

China ranked people in four groups: scholar, farmer, artisan, merchant. Shi, nong, gong, shang. The idea is old, found in the Guanzi. The scholar governs. Farmer grows food. Artisan makes things. The merchant makes nothing. He buys low, sells high and keeps the difference. So, he goes to the bottom. The first Han emperor, Gaozu, took this seriously. Sima Qian tells us he banned merchants from wearing silk and from riding in carriages. He taxed them hard. Made them look poor, even if they were rich. Then the state ran short of money.
