Los Angeles, United States - January 24, 2021 /PressCable/ —

Earlier today, Homeschool Boost announced the launch of Dog Mini Adventure: No Reading, No Writing, Dyslexia Friendly Literature and Science Unit, its new PDF Printable Study Unit set to go live 1/18/2021. Dog Mini Adventure, a free downloadable, serves as an introduction to Homeschool Boost’s new series of Adventure Study Units. For anyone who has a child with learning differences in their life, this launch will be worth paying attention to, as it’s set to shake things up.

Currently, with even a passing glance, a person will notice that most resources for children with learning differences aim to change them as quickly as possible and turn them into proficient readers and writers. Homeschool Boost, on the other hand, accepts students with learning differences just the way they are and supports their growth in a holistic way. The founder of Homeschool Boost and the author of its study units, Yehudis Litvak, makes a point of saying, “We believe that by focusing on and developing their strengths, students gain confidence and self-esteem and, paradoxically, are better able to overcome their challenges. Our Adventure Study Units are much needed and long overdue resources for students with learning differences.”

Yehudis Litvak continues, “Most resources for students with dyslexia and other learning differences focus on teaching these students to read and write. While those resources are invaluable, our mission is different. We understand that it takes years for a child with learning differences to get their reading and writing up to speed with their cognitive skills and learning needs. These students are ready for a challenging curriculum similar to what is used for their peers without learning differences, yet they also need to gain confidence learning on their own. Our Adventure Study Units provide students with an opportunity to learn independently at the same level as their peers without any reading or writing. These units are intended to be used alongside the reading and writing resources tailored to students with learning differences. I developed these study units because I saw a need with my own children and with other children in my community. These children deserve challenging and exciting learning materials no less than their peers who do not have difficulties with reading and writing. Moreover, students with learning differences can build self-confidence by completing these independent study units, which, in turn, will help them succeed in their areas of challenge. Ultimately this is going to be a huge benefit to families with children with learning differences because these units will save both teachers and parents time and headache. The units are designed to be completed by the student independenly and to provide information, as well as challenge, excitement, and entertainment. The students will be busy for hours and will have something to show for their work.”

Homeschool Boost was established in June 2020. Its aim is to help every child succeed and reach their full potential, no matter what challenges they might face in learning.

Currently, the closest thing to Homeschool Boost’s Adventure Unitis are Mosaic Method products, available at Teachers Pay Teachers. These products are wonderful. However, they are not enough to satisfy the existing need. Moreover, Homeschool Boost’s products are short, independent units. Students can choose the units that appeal to them and complete them in any order, thus building up both their skills and their confidence. This alone is predicted to make Homeschool Boost’s PDF printable study units more popular with students with learning differences.
