SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. - Feb. 5, 2020 - PRLog -- HASKELL HIMSELF ---A FRESH NEW VOICE FOR LGBTQ YA FICTION
A gay teenager tries to break into a new high school and Hollywood while firming up his identity amid the uproar of the 1960s in this coming-of-age novel
SOUTH PASADENA, C.A. — (Jan. 19, 2020): Coming-of-age LGBTQ debut novel Haskell Himself will release on January 19, 2020, to booksellers everywhere. You'll never root for any fictional character quite as much as Haskell Hodge, the hilarious, dorky, slightly histrionic, angst-ridden teenage protagonist and narrator of Gary Seigel's debut novel, Haskell Himself.
"Haskell's endless neurotic uncertainty over who to be and what to do will captivate readers. An entertaining and perceptive YA take on the predicament of gay adolescence." – Kirkus Reviews
"Seigel's writing is delightfully immersive, both in the depiction of Haskell's inner working and the descriptions of the tangible world around him. … Haskell Himself is deserving of high praise for its lovable protagonist, its vibrant setting, and its broader message of gender equality. I recommend this to young adults who are also exploring their own identities, sexual or otherwise." – OnlineBookClub.org
Haskell Himself is a coming-of-age LGBTQ YA novel set in the 1960s for young adult and adult readers published by Acorn Publishing (1/19/2020) - ISBN: 1947392670, 9781947392670.
