Woodland Hills, California May 14, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - With the goal of helping California, Tarzana Treatment Centers College (TTCC) is now enrolling students currently employed at partner gencies into the substance use disorder (SUD) counseling certification program. Given the widespread expansion of SUD and the resulting tragic rise in overdose fatalities, help is needed in so many communities. With over one thousand employees and thirteen locations in California, Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. is one of the country's most respected integrated healthcare providers.
TTC College is looking for people looking to start or further their careers in the behavioral health field. Currently, in California, there is a great demand for SUD-certified Counselors, and this demand is only projected to increase. This is the perfect time to complete a SUD Certification program and pursue a career in SUD treatment.
Certification and Recognition of a Valuable New Educational Provider
Following in the footsteps of TTC's accreditation by The Joint Commission, Tarzana Treatment Centers College is accredited by the California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) and the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). Such accreditations reflect the school's core values of integrity, innovation, intersectionality, community, and excellence. The College also has been approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
TTCC's administrative and academic staff have extensive years of both academic and professional direct service experience. The College specifically hires faculty and educators who reflect the diversity of California's population but also those accustomed to implementing evidence-based practices (EBP's) in their SUD service delivery. We believe that this is critical and ensures our students graduate with a top-notch education that will allow them to be successful in any SUD treatment setting.
A Full Spectrum of SUD Course and Hands-On Experience at TTC College
With six months of a full spectrum of SUD courses, including monthly student symposiums with top experts in the field, the school offers a firm grounding in the core SUD essentials. The College also incorporates virtual reality substance use disorder and mental health modules. Each of these approaches help enhance the learning experience of all students.
Indeed, the College has made a concerted effort to access the best innovative learning software. The goal is to maintain and continuously raise the caliber of the education, improving on classroom learning. Moreover, flexible tutors and guidance counselors are available and ready to help.
TTCC's program includes a four-month practicum experience. In this context, students can demonstrate their SUD counseling competencies while being closely monitored by treatment professionals with extensive clinical Supervisor level experience. Beyond the classroom, such practice in treatment settings is a valuable addition.
Trained Treatment Professionals to Help Communities in Need
As the COVID-19 pandemic ends and California recovers from the fallout, the state needs more trained professionals to address the sharp rise in adverse mental health and substance use disorders in our communities. The team at Tarzana Treatment Centers College is ready to train a diverse generation of SUD treatment providers that build upon and help their communities and beyond.
