Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar, who was stabbed by his co-pilot during a mid-air cockpit attack, was airlifted to Abu Dhabi for further treatment, ANI reported. Machchhar was earlier hospitalised in Saudi Arabia after helping foil an alleged attempt to crash the Dubai-Tel Aviv flight.

A Rajkot vegetable vendor has been arrested after police allegedly found counterfeit Rs 100 and Rs 500 notes along with equipment used to produce them at his home. Investigators said Kishan Solanki learned the process after seeing an Instagram reel and later communicating with a trainer on Telegram. Police allege he circulated around 40 fake Rs 100 notes through small purchases.

Authorities informed the Delhi High Court that they rejected a request to hold a protest against the E20 ethanol blending policy at Jantar Mantar, citing the law-and-order situation in the area. A writ petition was also filed challenging the rejection, which sought to quash the administrative decision by which their applications to hold the protests were not granted and have also sought a direction from the authorities to permit the proposed demonstration at Jantar Mantar on October 2, subject to reasonable conditions relating to the number of participants and safety parameters.
